Paid but Your Data Hasn't Arrived? What to Do, Step by Step
Most orders reach the network within minutes of payment, but sometimes the bundle takes longer to show on the phone. Before you worry or pay again, work through these steps.
1. Give it a few minutes
At busy times the network can be slow to credit a bundle. Wait 10–15 minutes before doing anything else. Do not pay a second time for the same bundle — you could end up paying twice.
2. Restart the connection
Switch airplane mode on, wait 10 seconds, then switch it off. This makes the phone reconnect and often shows a bundle that has already been credited.
3. Check the balance properly
Check your data balance using your network's balance menu — see our guide to checking data balance in Ghana. Make sure you are checking the same number the bundle was bought for.
4. Confirm the order
If you have an account, open My Orders to see the status. You can also tap Ask Ama on any page — our AI assistant can look up your order with your payment reference and phone number.
5. Report it to us
If the data still has not arrived, use Report an Issue with:
- your payment reference (from the Paystack SMS or email),
- the phone number the data was for,
- a short description, and a screenshot if you have one.
Our team gets an alert immediately and checks the order. If a delivery failed on our side, we make sure the bundle is delivered.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Wrong network: an MTN bundle cannot be credited to a Telecel or AirtelTigo number.
- Wrong number: a bundle cannot be moved once it is delivered, so check the digits before you pay.
- Unsupported SIM: Turbosim, broadband and merchant SIMs cannot take bundles — see why some MTN numbers cannot receive data.
